Meet Susan
I have always loved the open spaces, high mountains, and red rock desert of the West. This is what inspires me when I’m creating hats.
As a massage therapist for many years, I began looking for something new to take my life and passions in a different direction. Handcrafting hats and working closely with each client is rewarding and feels like I’ve come home to a new love. I enjoy creating hats that will stand the test of time and style.
Mariposa Hats are made in my studio in the heart of the West - Carbondale, Colorado - handcrafted using traditional methods.
When I’m not making hats, I am out playing in these wonderful western landscapes. Whether hiking, biking, running, or skiing with my husband and dog, I enjoy all that the West brings.
